Recalbox 10.1.1 is now available, and this update fixes and fine-tunes several points raised since the release of 10.1. On the menu: Challenges gain in ergonomics, CRT and Guncon 2 enthusiasts regain optimal gaming comfort, and several emulators receive long-awaited fixes.

Challenges refined

We've continued working on the Challenges system to make it more reliable day to day. Your Recalbox will now let you know if your Patreon account is no longer linked and offer to reconnect it directly from the challenge screen, a process that remains free. Hiding the Challenges system from the menu works again and persists after a reboot, and a challenge no longer disappears if the related console is hidden from the systems list.

On the score reliability side, a game that took a while to start no longer causes its score to be lost: it is now re-read regardless of how the emulator responds. We've also laid the groundwork for upcoming challenges by expanding score, initials, and credits reading to more games. Hang tight, the season will be starting soon ;)

CRT and Guncon 2

Players on CRT screens now get full-screen display and normal speed on Naomi 2 games like Initial D and Virtua Fighter 4, as well as pixel-perfect 240p downscaling on Dreamcast, Naomi, and Atomiswave.

On the Guncon 2 side, two-gun calibration is now done player by player, with a clear indication of who should shoot. MAME games no longer display the emulator's crosshair on top of the in-game reticle, and a warning message now appears when a Guncon 2 is plugged into a game designed for fixed guns. Thank you to you and the patrons who gave us valuable feedback, which allowed us to quickly identify and fix these issues.

And others things !

This 10.1.1 also brings its share of fixes to emulation (PSP, Amiga, ZX Spectrum), the frontend (virtual keyboards, logo view, default list layouts), cores (Libretro-mupen64plus-nx), and Bluetooth controllers on RG353/RG503/RG ARC/Powkiddy.
