Et ça ne semble pas être une mini-console gadget : un retour au source digne de ce nom ?**\n\n### La promesse\n\nLa Neo Geo AES+ est une renaissance haute fidélité de l'AES originale, dotée d'améliorations contemporaine comme la sortie HDMI ou le DIP Switches, à partir de 199,99 € pour la version \"de base\" (console + stick), avec une sortie prévue le 12 novembre 2026. Les précommandes sont d'ores et déjà ouvertes sur [le site de PLAION](https://plaionreplai.com/pages/neogeo?country=FR).\n\n### Ce qui rend cette machine authentique : pas d'émulation\n\nC'est le point qui va faire couler beaucoup d'encre — dans le bon sens du terme. La Neo Geo AES+ n'utilise pas l'émulation. La console est propulsée par ses puces ASIC d'origine, \"réingénierées\" selon les standards modernes pour reproduire fidèlement le matériel d'origine. Le système fait tourner nativement les nouvelles cartouches de jeu comme les anciennes — pas d'émulation, pas d'approximation FPGA, mais une véritable réincarnation de la console, selon SNK.\n\n  \n\n### Caractéristiques techniques\n\nLa machine se présente comme une réplique 1:1 de la console originale des années 90, avec une qualité de fabrication fidèle, une sortie HDMI, **une sortie AV originale pour les amateurs de CRT** (et ça... ça claque!), des DIP switches pour la sélection de la langue, l'overclocking et le mode d'affichage, ainsi que la sauvegarde permanente des meilleurs scores via carte mémoire. Elle est compatible avec les nouvelles cartouches Neo Geo AES+ et rétrocompatible avec les cartouches AES originales. Pour les fans hardcore, le bundle Ultimate Edition regroupe la console, tous les accessoires et les 10 cartouches dans un packaging édition limitée, le tout pour 899 €.\n\n  \n\n### Petit rappel historique : pourquoi la Neo Geo a une place particulière\n\n\nLancée en 1990 par SNK, la Neo Geo existe sous deux formats : le MVS (Multi Video System) pour les bornes d'arcade, et l'AES (Advanced Entertainment System) pour le salon. Wikipedia Sa promesse était unique : une expérience strictement identique entre la borne d'arcade et le salon. La Neo Geo était commercialisée comme le premier système 24 bits — son CPU est en réalité un 68000 16/32 bits couplé à un coprocesseur Z80 8 bits, avec un bus de données graphiques 24 bits. Elle surpassait techniquement tout ce qui existait sur le marché domestique à l'époque.\n\nCette puissance avait un prix prohibitif. L'AES se vendait près de 650 dollars à sa sortie, l'équivalent de plus de 1 500 dollars aujourd'hui, faisant d'elle l'objet de collection le plus prisé du rétrogaming, avec certaines cartouches rares s'échangeant pour plusieurs milliers d'euros. Plusieurs séries cultes sont nées sur cette machine : Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Samurai Shodown, The King of Fighters, Twinkle Star Sprites et Metal Slug. La production de jeux a duré jusqu'en 2004, faisant de la Neo Geo le système d'arcade le plus longtemps supporté de tous les temps.\n\nLa Neo Geo AES+ n'est donc pas qu'une console de plus.
