It offers a clearer look at the film’s stakes and unveils new footage of the fighters as well as the arenas.**\n\nThe trailer is available at the bottom of this article.\n\n### No sign of JCVD\n\nShould we expect a lot from the *Street Fighter* movie? Maybe not. Video game adaptations rarely turn into masterpieces of cinema, especially when it comes to fighting games.\n\nThat said, let’s be honest: the recent *Mortal Kombat* movie was still an enjoyable guilty pleasure. And the fact that Paramount and Legendary are producing this *Street Fighter* adaptation does leave some hope for a solid piece of entertainment that at least respects the source material to some extent.\n\nIn any case, the three-minute footage showcases several fighters in action. Bison. The actor is excellent, but his rather slight frame and typically nuanced performances feel quite far removed from the imposing, intimidating aura of the character in the games. Elle permet d’entrevoir un peu mieux les enjeux du film et dévoile de nouvelles images des combattants ainsi que des arènes.**\n\nLa bande annonce est visible en bas de cet article.\n\n### Pas de JCVD en vue\n\nDoit-on attendre énormément du film Street Fighter? Peut-être pas. Les adaptations de jeux vidéo au cinéma sont rarement des chefs-d’œuvre du septième art, et encore moins lorsqu’il s’agit de jeux de combat.\n\nCela dit, soyons honnêtes : le dernier film *Mortal Kombat* se laissait regarder avec un certain plaisir coupable. Et le fait que Paramount et Legendary soient à la production de ce *Street Fighter* laisse tout de même espérer un divertissement solide, capable de respecter un minimum le matériau d’origine.\n\nEn tout cas, les images dévoilées durant ces trois minutes montrent plusieurs combattants en pleine action. Bison. L’acteur est excellent, mais son physique plutôt frêle et son jeu habituellement nuancé semblent assez éloignés de l’aura imposante et intimidante du personnage dans les jeux.
