Thirty extra euros, sold without a game included, pushing it past the symbolic €500 mark.\n\n### Record profits, higher prices\n\nThat’s where things start to sting. Nintendo did not announce this increase after a bad year — quite the opposite. During fiscal year 2025-2026, the company nearly doubled its revenue, reaching around €13.2 billion, with net profit up by 52%. The Switch 2, launched in June 2025, has already sold close to 20 million units. Nintendo is doing just fine, thank you very much. But we all know it: a console without games is still just a nice-looking box. So expect to spend around €600 to get started properly. That’s about what a PS5 cost a few years ago, as many players have pointed out on forums — and they’re not entirely wrong.\n\n### The window to buy at the current price\n\nThe good news, if we can call it that: Nintendo announced the increase four months in advance. The console will remain available at €469.99 — or even less from some retailers — until August 31, 2026. For those still hesitating, this might be the best time to decide. En Europe, la console passera de 469,99 € à 499,99 € à partir du 1er septembre 2026. Trente euros de plus, vendus sans jeu, qui font franchir la barre symbolique des 500 €.\n\n### Des bénéfices records, une facture en hausse\n\nC'est là que ça coince. Nintendo n'a pas annoncé cette hausse après une mauvaise année — bien au contraire. Sur l'exercice fiscal 2025-2026, le groupe a quasiment doublé son chiffre d'affaires pour atteindre environ 13,2 milliards d'euros, avec un bénéfice net en hausse de 52 %. La Switch 2, lancée en juin 2025, a déjà écoulé près de 20 millions d'unités. Nintendo va très bien, merci. Comptez donc facilement 600 € pour démarrer correctement. C'est le prix d'une PS5 il y a quelques années, comme le font remarquer les joueurs sur les forums, pas entièrement à tort.\n\n### La fenêtre pour acheter au prix actuel\n\nLa bonne nouvelle, si on cherche à en trouver une : Nintendo a annoncé la hausse avec quatre mois d'avance.
