After work on the Pi 5 2GB ([article here](https://www.recalbox.com/fr/blog/2026-07-04-10-0-8-update-mise-a-jour-raspberry-pi-5-2-g-retrogaming/)) and on Naomi 2 and Model 3 ([article here](https://www.recalbox.com/fr/blog/2026-07-28-model-3-naomi-2-60-fps-raspberry-pi-5-retrogaming-arcade-emulation)), the team turned its attention to the GunCon 2 — the gun that lets you play Time Crisis, House of the Dead, Duck Hunt, Confidential Mission… — plug and play with Recalbox since the release of the [RGB Dual 2](https://shop.recalbox.com/collections/rgbdual).**\n\nWhile the experience was generally solid, a few issues could crop up: missed shots, rough calibration, needing to crank up screen brightness for certain games to work properly, notably on Dreamcast… The overall experience was good, but we wanted to deliver rock-solid support.\n\n### A well-calibrated caliber\n\nAfter several weeks of work — and a certain [Recalbox JVS](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/recalbox/recalbox-jvs) that got us digging back into gun cabs — we're happy to announce that the GunCon 2 now works wonders with the [10.1-patron-1](https://www.recalbox.com/fr/blog/2026-07-23-recalbox-10-1-patron-patreon-retrogaming-emulation-update) update!\n\nWe've added a calibration screen every time you launch a game for your GunCon 2, letting you test and confirm your setup and calibration for optimal accuracy.\n\n\n\n### Say cheese, you've been flashed\n\nTo get shot detection accurate up to 99%, we've also added a white flash that lights up your screen when you pull the trigger (something you may have seen natively on certain cabinets). The GunCon \"sees\" the screen loud and clear this way, and the shot gets detected. No more need to crank up your screen brightness!\n\n\n\n### Room for two frequencies in this town\n\nAs you know, the GunCon 2 is compatible with 15 kHz CRT screens (the old-school cathode-ray TVs that used to sit in every living room…); compatibility is now extended to 31 kHz monitors (the CRT VGA screens that notably powered our old PCs…). Après un travail sur le Pi 5 2 Go ([article ici](https://www.recalbox.com/fr/blog/2026-07-04-10-0-8-update-mise-a-jour-raspberry-pi-5-2-g-retrogaming/)) et sur la Naomi 2 et le Model 3 ([article ici](https://www.recalbox.com/fr/blog/2026-07-28-model-3-naomi-2-60-fps-raspberry-pi-5-retrogaming-arcade-emulation)), l'équipe s'est tournée vers le GunCon 2 — le gun qui vous permet de jouer à Time Crisis, House of the Dead, Duck Hunt, Confidential Mission… — plug and play avec Recalbox depuis la sortie du [RGB Dual 2](https://shop.recalbox.com/collections/rgbdual).**\n\nSi l'expérience s'avérait globalement concluante, quelques désagréments pouvaient survenir : tirs non détectés, calibrage approximatif, augmentation de la luminosité de l'écran nécessaire au bon fonctionnement de certains jeux, notamment sur Dreamcast… L'expérience globale restait bonne, mais nous souhaitions apporter une prise en charge optimale.\n\n### Un calibre bien calibré\n\nAprès plusieurs semaines de travail — et un certain [Recalbox JVS](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/recalbox/recalbox-jvs) qui nous a remis le nez dans les gun cabs —, nous sommes heureux de vous annoncer que le GunCon 2 fait désormais des merveilles avec la mise à jour [10.1-patron-1](https://www.recalbox.com/fr/blog/2026-07-23-recalbox-10-1-patron-patreon-retrogaming-emulation-update) !\n\nNous avons ajouté, à chaque lancement de jeu, un écran de calibrage pour votre GunCon 2, qui vous permettra de tester et valider votre configuration et calibrage et d'obtenir une précision optimale.\n\n  \n\n### Souriez vous êtes flashés\n\nAfin d'avoir une détection de vos shoots précise à 99 %, nous avons également ajouté un flash blanc qui vient illuminer votre écran lorsque vous pressez la détente (comme vous pouviez le voir sur certaines bornes de façon native). Le GunCon « voit » ainsi l'écran sans discuter et le shoot est détecté. Plus besoin d'augmenter la luminosité de votre écran !\n\n  \n\n### Y a de la place pour deux fréquences dans cette ville\n\nVous le savez, le GunCon 2 est compatible avec les écrans CRT 15 kHz (les téléviseurs cathodiques qui équipaient les foyers autrefois…) ; la compatibilité est désormais étendue aux moniteurs 31 kHz (les écrans CRT VGA qui équipaient notamment nos vieux PC…).
