Verdict : du fun immédiat, mais aussi quelques réserves.**\n\n### Une conduite qui a gardé son âme\n\nLes deux médias s'accordent sur l'essentiel : la conduite est toujours aussi grisante. GameSpot évoque un sandbox agréable à parcourir à son rythme, où le Crazy Stop, le Crazy Dash et le Crazy Drift restent les trois éléments de conduites centraux pour scorer. IGN confirme, saluant des virages serrés, des boosts et une accélération qui reste dans l'esprit arcade de la série plutôt que dans celui d'une simulation.\n\nAutre point commun : la bande-son. GameSpot en fait le grand point fort de sa session : un livreur de pizza nommé Cheeseburger, un alien curieux de la conduite terrestre, un lapin de Pâques ou encore un dragueur envoyé à l'aéroport... Des mini-défis (drift, Crazy Stop, vitesse) habillés d'un humour absurde qui a vraiment fait sourire le testeur.\n\nIGN, de son côté, a surtout apprécié les activités annexes comme pause dans le rythme habituel : ramasser des piles de papier avec un PNJ muni d’un aspirateur, ou encore catapulter un cascadeur en wingsuit le plus loin possible.\n\n### L'Allemagne, mais pas trop\n\nC'est là que le bât blesse pour IGN. La map est divisée en cinq zones (aéroport, ville, cité fortifiée, montagnes, autoroute), mais l'identité allemande reste très en surface : quelques panneaux dans la langue, une architecture vaguement européenne, sans accent, sans passants typés ni réelle ambiance locale. Les PNJ n’ont pas d’accent, pas d’habit typique, la map est là, mais elle manque de saveur.
