Recalbox Challenge: follow the grand final duel of the past fortnight live

By LittleG4M3 · 31 October 2026

As you all know, since Recalbox version 10.1, the Recalbox Challenges have changed philosophy quite a lot: no more photos of scores or manually entering your performances. A virtual Recalbox Challenge system (or Recalbox Online on Recalbox 11) lets you launch the current game (which changes every 15 days), your scores are automatically recorded, and the leaderboard can be viewed online, on your Recalbox or on the recalbox.com website. Another detail: this feature blocks any attempt at cheating (extra credits, save states…), although we allow autofire for everyone.

Replays and live runs

Stuck on a boss? Want to know how other players score and overtake you? Your replays and those of other players are also available so you can learn and improve your skills, again directly on your Recalbox or on the recalbox.com website.

But today, we're focusing on a brand-new feature that lets you watch the runs of the two top scorers of the current challenge (In the Hunt) in LIVE.

Why this feature?

Quite simply because it's the last day of the challenge, and VGRDaftpunk and LeBigDaddy are going head to head like never before! With more than 1.5 million points each and the game completed on a single credit (1CC), we're dealing with a very high level of play. And it's a joy to watch.

As soon as one of the two players starts a run, you can follow it live on the website, in the Challenge tab. Who will emerge victorious from the depths of In the Hunt? The answer comes tonight at midnight, in this same Challenge section of the website. And if you miss one of the players' best runs, don't worry: it will be available as a replay.

Congratulations to all of you!

In the meantime, congratulations to the 426 players who gave the game a try over this fortnight: no fewer than 7,493 games were launched! Thank you for this enthusiasm. Who would have thought that arcade games would spontaneously bring together hundreds of players in 2026 behind the same game for 15 days?

And tomorrow?

It's not over yet: starting tomorrow, a new game will be available for 15 days. To say it's a well-known title that you've surely played would be an understatement.
